Switching Screens
The LCD monitor operates in two modes centered around the shooting screen: video monitoring mode where you can check settings while monitoring the video, and information display mode dedicated for checking and changing information and settings. You can switch between modes using the HOME button. The user functions screen, menu screen, full menu screen, playback screen, and clip list screen can be displayed in each mode.
You can switch between the screens to display on the LCD monitor as shown in the following diagram using the HOME button, MENU button, CLIPS button, and USER button.
Hint
- In video monitoring mode, you can output the same display screen as the LCD monitor to an external monitor.
-
Information display mode is designed for LCD monitor use in combination with a connected external monitor for HDMI output. Place the external monitor on the top side, for example, of the unit for monitoring the video, and use the LCD monitor for configuring settings according to your shooting style.
- The functions displayed on the LCD monitor are operated using touch operation, but the orange cursor can also be operated using the multi-function dial or multi selector. To use direct menu operation on the shooting screen in the same way as in video monitoring mode, set [Technical] – [Menu Settings] – [Info. Disp. Mode Operation] to [Direct Menu Priority] in the full menu.
- The Home screen, user functions screen, menu screen, full menu screen, and playback operation screen are not displayed on an external monitor. When the Home screen, user functions screen, menu screen, or full menu screen is displayed on the LCD monitor, the shooting screen will be displayed on the external monitor. When the playback operation screen is displayed on the LCD monitor, the playback screen will be displayed on the external monitor. However, when the user functions screen, menu screen, or full menu screen is displayed on the LCD monitor, some of the information that is displayed on the external monitor shooting screen is not displayed.
